Immigration Programs
Express Entry
Since 2015, immigration for professionals to Canada has been managed through the Express Entry system, which has a processing time of up to 6 months.
Express Entry is not a new immigration program. It is an online selection system for candidates who qualify for immigration through one of the three federal economic immigration classes:
- Federal Skilled Worker
- Federal Skilled Trades
- Canadian Experience Class
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is the points-based system to evaluate and score your profile and rank in the pool of candidates. Express Entry assesses candidates based on their education, skilled work experience, age, and knowledge of Canadian official languages. Additionally, the CRS gives you extra points for Canadian degrees, diplomas or certificates, a valid job offer from a Canadian employer, and other factors.
The maximum CRS possible is 1200. Every few weeks, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada holds a new Express Entry draw, issuing Invitations to Apply (ITA’s) for Permanent Residency (PR). The Government of Canada’s estimated target for 2020 is 85,800 admissions through the three economic immigration classes administered by the Express Entry system.
In addition to three federal immigration classes, almost all Canadian provinces and territories have their own Provincial Express Entry streams. Provinces and territories can grant a Provincial Nomination to a candidate from the Express Entry pool. Provincial Nomination gives the candidate 600 additional CRS points, therefore guaranteeing the ITA for PR.
If you don’t get enough CRS points to get the Invitation to Apply for a Permanent Residency in Canada through the Express Entry system, our immigration consultants can help you with increasing your score.

Provincial Nominee Programs
PNPs or Provincial Nominee Programs are programs that have been designed by provincial governments in cooperation with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to facilitate the process of settling, finding work, and adapting in specific provinces in Canada for specific groups of foreign nationals. Within these programs, each province decides based on its requirements what groups of foreign nationals would do better and help boost the local economy.
Provincial Nominee Programs offer a great opportunity for employers to find workers and nominate people with the right skills to get permanent resident status. Our expert immigration consultants at Alliance International Jobs Solutions Canada are licensed to work on cases not only for immigration and settlement in Ontario, but for other provinces as well. If you think you have a better chance of immigrating to a specific province, we will be happy to evaluate your chances.
